Welcome to WotzUp
Hi, I am Robert Brand, the author of WotzUp pages and the amazing space projects detailed on these pages are usually ones I am very involved in personally. I would consider myself to be a space entrepreneur and activist.
I am very involved in the space sector and I am well known as the editor of the website, Echoes of Apollo (EOA) http://echoesofapoll.com. I am also involved in the EOA World Moon Bounce Event, the Daily Space News and plenty of space action.
I have NASA and ESA awards for support of STS 1 and Giotto. I was sent to the Parkes Radio Telescope for the NASA Voyager encounters with Neptune and Uranus andĀ I even wired up a lot of the NASA Apollo 11 switching equipment located in Sydney, Australia at the grand age of 17. It was through those connections of mine that you heard and saw Neil and Buzz walk on the moon.
The site name says it all “WotzUp” (What’s Up) and I really mean “UP”. It is about space and doing things yourself. These projects are about Do It Yourself (DIY) science and DIY Space.
I regularly appear on radio and podcasts – even TV occasionally. Keep an ear and an eye out for me. The following is a story I did on the prestigious AustralianĀ ABC’s “Science Show” for the Apollo 11 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. ssw_20090711_1251
